After a long, hectic week in the office, what is more relaxing then finally reaching the cottage and uncorking that vintage sauvignon blanc that has been blissfully chilling to perfection over the past week? To most, nothing tops taking that first sip and realizing it was completely worth the agony of bumper to bumper traffic.

For some, it is a weekly ritual, for others, the courteous invite from friends or family means a chance to enjoy one of those brilliant long summer nights away from it all. Either way, wine, food and cottage life appear to go hand-in-hand in an inseparable state of passion.

What better place to host a wine and cuisine festival then in a place where indulgence in life’s finer things is mandatory – cottage country.

This year, as we host the first annual wine and cuisine festival in Haliburton, Ontario, it is our hope that attendees are entertained, enlightened and enriched with knowledge that makes those long summer nights a little more enjoyable.
